Firearms And Drugs Seized, Munro Plains

Police have located and seized large quantities of cannabis, weapons, and drug paraphernalia while executing search warrants in Munro Plains on 30 November and 10 December.

Officers from Tully Police Station executed two search warrants, which resulted in two men being arrested on six charges.

Police located and seized over 200 rounds of ammunition, several unsecured rifles, over 450 grams of dried cannabis, over 70 cannabis plants and hydroponic equipment.

A 38-year-old Munro Plains man has been charged with one count each of unlawfully possessing weapons, possession of ammunition, producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, and possession of hydroponic equipment.

He is due to appear at Tully Magistrates Court on 18 December.

A 46-year-old Euramo man has been charged with one count of producing dangerous drugs.

He is due to appear at Tully Magistrates Court on 8 January.
