Westgate Divisional Response Unit members have arrested and charged a 19-year-old man with firearms offences after executing a warrant in Wyndham Vale on 3 March.
Officers attended a Brassy Street property about 4.00pm today and executed a firearms warrant.
The property was searched and it is alleged police located a modified slam gun and ammunition along with a sword and cocaine.
The 19-year-old has been interviewed and charged with prohibited person possess firearm, possess unregistered general category handgun, possess prohibited weapon, possess cocaine, handle stolen goods and possess cartridge ammunition without a licence.
He has been remanded to appear at Wyndham Magistrates' Court on 4 March.
