Firearms incident at Waterloo Corner, South Australia

Northern District police and investigating a firearms incident after a man was shot in the face at Waterloo Corner, early this morning.

Just before 2.15am on Thursday 23 April, emergency services were called to Dunn Road after reports that a vehicle had crashed into a tree.

The driver, a 43-year-old man from Wall Flat was located nearby. He had facial injuries consistent with being shot.

Police attended a house on Dunn Road where two occupants of the home were removed from the premises under police direction.

Police are currently searching for the suspect, however it is believed both the victim and the suspect are known to each other.

The victim was taken by SAAS to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
