A number of firearms, weapons, and drug offences were discovered when officers from the Firearms Policy & Recording Unit, Drug and Organised Crime, and Territory Response Group served a firearms revocation notice on a 26-year-old male in Marrakai yesterday.
Four firearms were located in the residence loaded and unsecured. Police also located a quantity of ammunition, a homemade taser, and a quantity of cannabis, Northern Territory Police say.
The male has been summonsed to appear in court at a later date for the following offences:
- Fail to comply with storage requirements for firearm (4 counts)
- Fail to comply with storage requirements for firearm ammunition
- Possess prohibited weapon
- Possess cannabis
- Fail to notify of loss or theft of firearm
