Firearms stolen during break and enter, NSW

Police are appealing for information after firearms were stolen from a home in the Lake Macquarie region, NSW Police say.

Between 12.20pm and 3.10pm on Wednesday 14 June 2017, a home on Carrington Street, West Wallsend, was broken into.

Among the items stolen was a steel safe containing two firearms. The firearms, a Winchester .22-250 calibre rifle and a .22 calibre Baikal rifle, are registered.

Officers from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command are investigating.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
