Five Held After Home Invasion, Chase in Western Sydney

Five people remain in police custody following a home invasion and pursuit in Sydney's west this morning.

Police were called to a house in Adah Street, Guildford, just after midnight (Saturday 30 August 2025), following reports five men forced their way into the house before damaging the property and a vehicle parked outside. They then left the scene.

Four people were inside the home at the time but were not injured.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, commencing inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A short time later, police saw a vehicle allegedly linked to the incident on Parramatta Road, Granville.

When the driver allegedly failed to stop when directed, a pursuit was initiated.

It continued onto the M4 Motorway and Reservoir Road, Prospect when did a U-turn and hit a marked police car. The occupants allegedly attempted to run away were arrested a short time later.

All five were assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics with one man, aged 18, taken to hospital for treatment for a suspected broken arm. He remains there under police guard.

The others – two men aged 18 and two boys aged 16 and 17 – were taken to Granville Police Station as investigations continue.

The vehicle has been confirmed as having being stolen from Kensington on 6 August 2025.
