Five's a crowd in Torquay

Police from the Heavy Vehicle Unit have intercepted a driver with a few extra passengers on board in Torquay on 3 August.

The Nissan Patrol ute was intercepted on Surf Coast Highway at 5pm.

Police found the three seater vehicle was occupied by three adults and two unrestrained children.

The ute, which did not belong to the driver of the vehicle, was impounded for 30 days.

A 43-year-old man from Highton will be summonsed to appear at Geelong Magistrates' Court.
