Flood forecast advice 1 in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police advise of possible flooding of the Todd River at Anzac Oval in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

Consistent low intensity rainfall has been widespread across the Upper Todd River Catchment over the past 24-hour period.

Further rainfall of low to moderate intensity is forecast across the catchment over the next 24-hours and is likely to lead to flows in the Todd River in Alice Springs peaking 5:00am on Wednesday 4 March.

This is likely to result in the closure of bed-level crossings at Undoolya Road, Schwarz Crescent, Tuncks Road and Palm Circuit.

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes and avoid these areas.

Further updates will be provided.
