Flood related death, Danderoo

Queensland Police will prepare a report for the coroner after a body of an 86-year-old Mount Colliery man was recovered from a vehicle at Emu Creek, Danderoo, on Friday, March 31.

The man was initially reported missing to police earlier that day after failing to return from a trip to Warwick.

Officers conducted patrols of the area and located the man's vehicle, a 2003 Toyota Camry, submerged in Emu Creek around 12:50pm.

Initial investigations indicate the vehicle was swept into floodwaters from Junabee Road.

The man's body, located in the vehicle, was recovered a short time later.
