Police have charged a man after he was rescued from floodwaters in Bundaberg North this morning, 11 March.
Around 6.45am, emergency services were called to the intersection of Thornhill Street and Tallon Street, following reports the man was trapped in floodwaters.
It will be alleged the 62-year-old Bundaberg North man had attempted to drive his Holden Crewman ute through a flooded section of the road, before becoming trapped inside his vehicle.
Queensland Fire Department (QFD) swiftwater rescue firefighters safely removed the man from his vehicle, and he was transported to Bundaberg Hospital as a precaution.
The man has since been charged with driving without due care or attention and did drive under the influence of liquor.
He is due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on 10 April.
The man's licence was immediately suspended.

Police have also charged a man in his 50s after he allegedly drove into floodwaters at Cloncurry last month.
Shortly before 6pm on 21 February, police responded to reports a Toyota Hilux had been washed off Hensley Drive after entering floodwaters.
It will be alleged the driver, a 57-year-old Cloncurry man ignored signs advising the road was closed.
The driver was able to escape the vehicle and made his way to dry land.
A 44-year-old male passenger was also able to safely get himself out of the vehicle and was later rescued from floodwaters by police.
Two other passengers, a man and woman in their 20s, were removed from the roof of the Toyota by QFD swiftwater rescue firefighters.
Yesterday, March 10, police charged a 57-year-old Cloncurry man with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle and adversely affected by an intoxicating substance.
He is expected to appear in Cloncurry Magistrates Court on 26 March.
