Floodwater Safety, Bundaberg North

Police are urging members of the public to avoid walking through, or near, roads that have been closed due to floodwaters around Bundaberg North.

As the water begins to recede, officers are reminding locals there are still dangers present and floodwater can conceal hazards such as drains, sharp objects and strong currents.

Police are also urging parents and carers to supervise children closely and ensure they stay away from overflowing creeks, drains and floodwater.

Multiple roads remain closed across the region.
