The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) - Te Mana Tātai Hokohoko has has published its Auditor Regulation and Oversight Plan 2022-2025.
The plan sets out how the FMA aims to improve the quality of Financial Markets Conduct reporting entities by:
- reviewing the systems, policies and procedures that registered audit firms have in place to deliver high-quality audits
- reviewing individual audit engagements, to ensure they meet the auditing and assurance standards
- monitoring accredited bodies to ensure they are effective frontline regulators of licensed auditors.
