Saturday lotto is proudly played across Australia under the brands Gold Lotto, Lotto, TattsLotto and X Lotto, bringing winning moments to players nationwide.
A Footscray man who long vowed he'd only open his special Vietnamese scotch upon winning division one has finally raised a toast after scoring a remarkable $700,000 TattsLotto win over the weekend.
The Melburnian held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4629, drawn Saturday 29 November 2025 and looks forward to a total prize of $791,600.91.
"Thank you very much!" he exclaimed when we confirmed his windfall earlier this morning.
"Honestly, I wasn't even shocked. I don't think it's really sunk in yet that I've actually won a division one prize!
"Every week, I have a bit of a ritual. I grab my ticket, look at it and say, 'Alright, are you finally going to let me crack open that special scotch? Is today the day I get to celebrate?'.
"I have some scotch sitting in my wardrobe that I bought in Vietnam once upon a time and I've always said I'd only open it if I won division one. I haven't had scotch in so long.
"A mate of mine once scored a major lottery win and told me they whisk you off into some special room, and now I'm excited to see what it's all about!"
The winning man also shared some wise plans with his newfound fortune.
"I'm going to invest the prize into shares; invest into the future!" he revealed.
His winning entry was purchased at Footscray Lottery Centre, Shop 89 Footscray Market, 81 Hopkins Street, Footscray.
