A former police officer has been charged following investigations into an alleged sexual assault.
Strike Force Kain was formed in 2021 to investigate an incident that allegedly occurred in 2008.
Following inquiries, a court attendance notice was served on a 33-year-old man at a correctional facility on Tuesday (8 November 2022) for the offences of sexual intercourse without consent, and demand money with menace.
The man – a former constable attached to a command within the Central Metropolitan Region – is due to appear at Sutherland Local Court on 20 December 2022.
He is no longer an employee of the NSW Police Force.
