A former police officer has been charged over alleged historical child abuse offences
In July 2025, officers attached to the State Crime Command's Child Abuse Squad commenced an investigation into a report a teenager was assaulted between 2015 and 2017 when aged between six and seven, by a person known to them.
Following inquiries, a 46-year-old man was arrested after attending Blacktown Police Station about 10am today (Monday 5 January 2026).
He was charged with three counts of indecent assault person under 16 years of age.
The man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Wednesday 28 January 2026.
The Child Abuse Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate matters against children, including sexual assault, serious physical abuse, and extreme cases of neglect.
