Formula for arrest

Detectives from Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit have recovered property worth an estimated $250,000 following an investigation into organised thefts from shops.

Investigators executed two warrants in St Albans and one in Maidstone on Monday and recovered baby formula, beauty products, vitamins and other personal care products.

Six people were arrested at the time with an 18-year-old woman from Sunshine, a 47-year-old woman from Kings Park, a 33-year-old woman from Maidstone and a 33-year-old man from Maidstone all released pending further enquires.

A 32-year-old man from St Albans was charged with handle stolen goods and possess tobacco products with intent to defraud revenue.

He was bailed to appear at Sunshine Magistrates' Court on 16 September 2022.

A 37-year-old woman from St Albans was charged with handle stolen goods, negligent possess proceeds of crime and commit indictable offence while on bail.

She was remanded to face Sunshine Magistrates' Court on 19 April 2022.
