Forrest Caves Beach Victims Identified

Police have formally identified four people who sadly died after an incident at Forrest Caves Beach yesterday.

Emergency services responded to multiple reports of four people in difficulty in the water about 3.30pm on 25 January.

Three women and a man were pulled from the water unresponsive.

CPR was administered on all four but sadly three were pronounced deceased at the scene.

They are:

- A 20-year-old female student from Clyde

- A 23-year-old man from Clyde

- A 43-year-old woman who was travelling from India

A fourth woman, also a 20-year-old student from Clyde, was flown to hospital in a critical condition, where she later died.

Police will continue to investigate the incident and prepare a report for the coroner.
