Forster Break-In: Man Charged Following NSW Police Investigation

A man has been charged following an investigation into a number of alleged break and enters on the Mid North Coast in recent weeks.

Earlier this month, police from Manning/Great Lakes Police District commenced an investigation after three businesses at Forster and Tuncurry were broken into, with initial inquiries suggesting the incidents were linked.

Police will allege that during the three break and enters, more than $35,000 of watches, jewellery and electronics were stolen, as well as prescription medication.

Following extensive inquiries, a 48-year-old man was arrested at a home on Parkes Street, Tuncurry, about 9pm on Friday 25 August 2023.

He was taken to Forster Police Station before being transferred to Manning Base Hospital for treatment.

He has since been charged with three counts of break and enter house etc, and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.

The matter was heard in Forster Local Court yesterday (Monday 28 August 2023), where he was formally refused bail to appear before the same court on Wednesday 13 September 2023.
