A Forster couple's frantic roadside stop has ended with tears, laughter and a very questionable parking job after they pulled over to discover they'd won more than $900,000 in Saturday Lotto.
The Mid North Coast residents held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4721 on Saturday 17 October 2026. Each division one winning entry took home $900,851.73.
When we called with the exhilarating news, the pair could hardly believe the conversation they'd always dreamed about was finally happening.
"Oh sh**!" the husband exclaimed.
"Oh my god. Wow. I almost wasn't going to answer the call but I'm so glad I did.
"You know what, we were just talking about how amazing it would be to receive one of these calls.
"This is perfect timing. We can go house-hunting now and buy a place."
The winning wife revealed they'd barely left the chemist before receiving the ultimate pick-me-up, prompting an emergency pull-over.
"I need to repark the car. We were just leaving the chemist when you called so I quickly pulled over and my car park is shocking!" she laughed.
"I'm in so much shock. We've dreamt about this call forever.
"This is insane. I've got a very teary husband next to me now.
"We can't tell you how thankful we are. I think for the rest of the day, we're going to be completely dysfunctional."
Their winning 50-game QuickPick was purchased via The Lott app - the official home of Australia's lotteries.
