Four arrested during north-west Sydney drugs raids, NSW

Four men have been arrested following an extensive investigation covering three Local Area Commands in Sydney’s north-west today, NSW Police say.

In March 2016, Strike Force Ferrabetta was formed by officers from North West Metro Region Enforcement Squad - Penrith, to investigate the supply of methylamphetamine around Sydney’s north-west.

About 12pm today, Region Enforcement Squad officers with the assistance of officers from Quakers Hill, Holroyd and Blacktown Local Area Commands, and the Tactical Operations Unit, conducted raids on several locations in Quakers Hill, Guildford and Riverstone.

A 35-year-old Quakers Hill man was arrested at a worksite in Riverstone. He was taken to Quakers Hill Police Station and charged with knowingly take part in the supply of prohibited drug (x2) and firearms offences.

A 29-year-old Guildford man was arrested at a home in Guildford. He was charged with supply prohibited drug (x8), supply commercial quantity prohibited drug and participate in criminal group.

A 29-year-old Quakers Hill man was arrested at a shopping centre in Riverstone. He was charged with supply prohibited drug (x16), on-going supply prohibited drug (x4), participate in criminal group and supply commercial quantity prohibited drug.

A 29-year-old Riverstone man was also arrested at the shopping centre at Riverstone. He was charged with supply prohibited drug (x2).

All four men are expected to be refused bail to appear at courts tomorrow.

Inquiries are continuing and several search warrants are currently underway at properties in Guildford and Quakers Hill.
