Four arrested over break-ins and car thefts, SA

Officers from SAPOL’s Operation Mandrake have arrested four teenagers in relation to house break-ins and car thefts last week, according to SA Police.

Police will allege that the four teenagers broke in to houses in suburbs including Campbelltown, Woodville North and Medindie Gardens between 17 and 19 January. They then stole cars from the premises and drove them around the metropolitan area.

A 15-year-old Morphett Vale boy, two 16-year-old Athol Park boys and a 17-year-old girl from Christie Downs were all charged yesterday with numerous offences including aggravated serious criminal trespass, illegal use of a motor vehicle, breach of bail and theft.

All four accused appeared in court yesterday, and the three boys were remanded in custody to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 2 February. The girl was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Youth Court on 16 February.
