Four charged following affray in Sydney

Police have charged four men after an alleged affray incident in Sydney’s CBD last night, NSW Police say.

About 10.30pm today, emergency services were called to Lime Street, following reports of about 10 people fighting.

During the incident, five people were injured – four 29-year-old men and a 27-year-old female.

They were all treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with various injuries.

Officers from Sydney City Local Area Command attended; however, a number of people allegedly involved fled the scene.

Four men were arrested a short distance away and taken to Day Street Police Station.

Three of the men – aged 18, 22 and 23 – were charged with affray.

A second 23-year-old man was charged with affray and malicious damage.

They were all granted conditional bail to face the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 17 August 2016.
