Four Charged in Uxbridge Investigation

Police have charged four people as part of an ongoing investigation which included the search for a person of interest who was in the Uxbridge area on Monday.

Yesterday, police arrested the person of interest, a 29-year-old man from Blackmans Bay, in the South Hobart area.

He has been charged with offences including several firearms and drug related matters, burglary x2, motor vehicle stealing x3, stealing x7, aggravated burglary x3, evade police x3, drive whilst not the holder of a driver licence x7. He was detained in custody and will appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court on 9 July.

As part of the ongoing investigation, three other people were arrested and charged by police.

A 39-year-old man from Swansea was charged with motor vehicle stealing x2, drive while disqualified x2, stealing x1, and resist a police officer. He will appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court on 12 October.

A 25-year-old woman from Geeveston was charged with motor vehicle stealing x1. She will appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court on 12 October.

A 25-year-old woman from Blackmans Bay was charged with motor vehicle stealing x1. She will appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court on 19 October.
