Four injured following ferry and yacht collision, NSW

Four people have been injured after a ferry collided with a yacht in Sydney Harbour today, NSW Police say.

Around 2.35pm (Saturday 16 December 2017), police received reports a ferry enroute from Circular Quay to Manly had collided with a yacht at Sydney harbour, injuring four people on board the yacht.

The collision caused two people to fall off the yacht and both managed to climb back on to the sailing vessel.

Two of the injured were treated at the scene and a man and woman were taken to St Vincent’s Hospital as a precaution.

The skippers of both vessels underwent mandatory breath testing which returned negative results.

Police are investigating the circumstances behind the collision.
