Four injured in Belmont collision

Four people have been injured during a head-on collision in Belmont this morning, Victoria Police say.

It’s believed a vehicle clipped a second vehicle while travelling along Barrabool Road just before 11.30am.

The first vehicle then collided head on with a third vehicle.

The male driver of the first vehicle and a male passenger were both injured and have been transported to hospital.

A female passenger in that vehicle was uninjured.

The female driver of the second vehicle was not injured.

The male driver of the third vehicle and his male passenger have both been transported to hospital.

Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit will investigate the collision and are en route to the scene.

The road is expected to be impacted for the next few hours and at this time there is no entry or exit to Riverglen caravan park.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
