Four men caught speeding, NSW

Police have issued infringement notices to four speeding drivers in far west New South Wales yesterday, NSW Police say.

On Friday 18 November 2016, officers from Barrier Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were conducting speed enforcement duties on the Silver City Highway, north of Wentworth, where they detected four vehicles allegedly travelling in excess of the speed limit in separate incidents.

About 4.15pm, a 21-year-old P-plate driver was detected allegedly travelling 154km/h in a 110km/h zone.

About 5.25pm, a 19-year-old P-plate driver was detected allegedly travelling 140km/h in a 110km/h zone.

About 7.30pm, a second 21-year-old man was detected allegedly travelling 161km/h in a 110km/h.

Police issued the three male drivers with an infringement notice for exceed speed limit over 45km/h (P1). Their licences were suspended until 17 May 2017.

A 20-year-old man was also detected allegedly travelling 136km/h in a 110km/h zone shortly before 7pm. Police stopped the P-plate driver and he was issued an infringement notice for exceed speed limit over 30km/h (P1). His licence was suspended until 17 February 2017.
