Four men to face court on blackmail charges, South Australia

Officers from Crime Gang Task Force have arrested four men for aggravated blackmail at Salisbury Plains yesterday.

Police will allege about 10am on 5 November, four men attended a business at Salisbury Plains and demanded the payment of cash from another man. The victim, who believed he would be assaulted, ran off.

It will be alleged this was part of an ongoing blackmail that was being carried out against the victim.

The four men are members and associates of the Hells Angels outlaw motorcycle gang.

Police from Northern District and Crime Gang Task Force attended the scene and as a result of investigations, arrested four men and charged them with aggravated blackmail.

The four arrested are -

  • A 33-year-old man from Ingle Farm (further charged with entering a licensed premises while wearing prohibited items)
  • A 33-year-old man from Walkley Heights
  • A 26-year-old man from Wynn Vale
  • A 26-year-old man from Northgate

All four men were refused police bail and are expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today (6 November).
