Four more teenage boys have been charged following an alleged armed brawl and officer assaulted Sydney's west.
About 4.40pm on Wednesday (2 September 2026), officers attached to Police Transport Command – with the assistance of Nepean Police Area Command – were called to a train station on Jane Street, Penrith, following reports of a brawl.
Police were told several unknown people had engaged in a brawl, in which one of the individuals allegedly produced a knife.
Police will allege a responding officer was assaulted in the stomach.
The officer was uninjured and did not require treatment.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested the same day and remains before the courts.
Following extensive inquiries, yesterday (Friday 4 September 2026), police arrested four boys – aged 13, 16 and two aged 15.
The 16-year-old boy was taken to Windsor Police Station where he was charged with use etc offensive weapon with to commit indictable offence and affray.
He was refused bail to appear before a children's court yesterday, where he was granted conditional bail to reappear on Monday 14 September 2026.
The first 15-year-old boy was taken to St Marys Police Station where he was charged with use etc offensive weapon with to commit indictable offence and affray and common assault.
The second 15-year-old boy also as taken to St Marys Police Station was charged with affray, common assault and breach of bail.
They were both refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Saturday 5 September 2026).
The 13-year-old boy was dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
Investigations are ongoing.
