Four Times Legal Limit In Tarneit

A man is expected to be charged after a Mitsubishi Triton crashed into a house in Tarneit last night.

Highway Patrol officers were quick to respond to reports of a Mitsubishi crashing into a light pole and reversing into a tree and a house on Rejoice Street just after 10pm.

No one home at the time was injured.

On police arrival, the Mitsubishi was nowhere to be seen.

A short time later the Mitsubishi, alleged to have been involved in the crash, returned to the address.

It is alleged the driver provided an evidentiary breath test reading for alcohol of .205, more than four times the legal limit.

The alleged driver and his passengers were not injured in the crash.

A 32-year-old Tarneit man is expected to be charged on summons for drink driving offences and his licence was suspended on the spot.
