On behalf of the Tasmanian Government I would like to pass on my heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of the man who sadly passed away today from coronavirus.
The man in his late 70s, who was being cared for at the North West Regional Hospital, is the fourth person we have lost in Tasmania to COVID-19.
The tragic passing is a stark reminder that we must continue to abide by the measures we have put in place, and continue to do all we can to keep Tasmanians safe and secure.
