A hardworking Frankston man has received the ultimate early birthday surprise, waking to a life-changing call revealing he'd won $4.8 million in the Set for Life game.

The victorious Victorian held the only division one winning entry nationally in Set for Life draw 3931, on Monday 11 May 2026. He can look forward to a dreamy $4.8 million, paid in monthly instalments of $20,000 for the next 20 years.

He received the winning phone call this morning but initially ignored it, admitting he wanted to continue sleeping in.

"I've actually been sleeping! I did a night shift so when you called me at 8am, I thought 'I'm not answering that'," he laughed.

"After you called me four times, I decided I'd better answer.

"That's fantastic and it's my birthday this week! What a great present. I can't believe this.

"Thank you so much. You have no idea how much this means. It's life-changing."

While the win means financial security, the Frankston local is planning to keep life relatively steady with a few long‑awaited plans finally within reach.

"I'll probably keep working but I'd love to take a holiday. I've been trying to plan a Bali getaway with a friend for years now," he said.

"I'll help my family out too. Speaking of, I've got to call my parents.

"I was planning to go back to sleep after this but I'm way too excited now.

"These numbers are all birthday numbers I chose myself so it's extra special."

His winning marked 2-game entry was purchased via The Lott app - the official home of Australia's lotteries.
