Freckleberry enters Voluntary Administration

Barry Wight and Sam Kaso of advisory firm Cor Cordis have been appointed as Voluntary Administrators of Bellyflop Pty Ltd, Trading as Freckleberry, effective 7 October 2019.

Freckleberry is a privately owned manufacturing business that creates unique and innovatively designed chocolate products. The factory, which is located in Geelong, also features a retail store and is home to a popular, established online shop.

The Freckleberry brand is well known in Australia and appeals to a broad range of customers. It's wholesale division supplies retail shops, fundraising organisations, corporate buyers and also caters for private label customers. The business is known for its high grade Belgian chocolate.

"We have just begun an investigation into the affairs of Freckleberry, including whether there are parties looking to recapitalise the Company or acquire its business and assets as a going concern.

"In the meantime it is business as usual at Freckleberry. It will continue to trade under the Administrators' control and fulfill customer orders in the busy lead up to Christmas.

The first meeting of creditors will be held on 17 October 2019 in Melbourne.
