Free Adelaide Metro Travel for City-Bay Run Sunday

Entrants for this Sunday's City-Bay Fun Run only need to flash their Race Number Bib to have FREE travel to the CBD start – and for access options to return from Glenelg on Sunday.

On the early morning start of the 2025 City-Bay Fun Run, there are multiple options for competitors to use FREE TRAVEL on all forms of Adelaide Metro services.

How: Just show your Race Bib on any Adelaide Metro bus, train and tram services and the dedicated bus shuttle services from 5:00am to 2:00pm - to travel free.

SHUTTLE BUSES TO ALL RACE STARTS

Half Marathon shuttle bus departs Adelaide Railway Station at 5:15 am and arrives at Glenelg at 5:45 am in time for the 6:00am race start.

Shuttle buses depart Wigley Reserve from 5:30am until 2:00pm to Adelaide Railway Station and return to Glenelg in a continuous loop carrying entrants from Adelaide to Glenelg and from Glenelg to the race starts at Morphettville (3 km) and Kurralta Park (6 km).

Another fleet of shuttle buses depart Maxwell Terrace, Glenelg (at Brighton Road tram stop) from 6:00am until 8:00 am to South Terrace in Adelaide, where they will connect with Trams on King William Street. From 5:47 am to 7:30 am trams will operate to Rundle Mall.

Train services will operate from as early as 6:30 am along all lines into the City.

SA's biggest mass participation and fundraising opportunity event, the annual City-Bay Fun Run from Adelaide to Glenelg, will happen on Sunday 21st September for its 51st running, with more than 25,000 people now entered.
