Free anti-theft plate screws fitted at Prospect Bunnings today, SA

Vehicle owners will have the opportunity to have number plate anti-theft screws fitted free of charge on Saturday, 19 November, according to SA Police.

Holden Hill Police are holding a Crime Prevention display at Prospect Bunnings between 10am and 2pm today and SA State Emergency Service volunteers will fit the anti-theft screws to your number plates.

Number plates are stolen from vehicles to commit crimes such as such as petrol theft, avoiding speeding fines and other traffic offences, as well as used on vehicles for robberies and house break-ins. So why not take the opportunity to make sure your plates stay safely on your vehicle?

Officers at the display will also be providing information on personal safety, internet safety, home security and vehicle security.

Do you need the latest information on for preparing for this year’s fire danger season? Then pop along to the display and have a chat with your local police.
