Free Opportunity to Yarn with Aboriginal Elders

Community Industry Group is proud to sponsor a Yarn with Aboriginal Elders as part of the Wollongong Seniors Festival 2020. The event is a collaboration project with the Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation.

"Many people have never had the opportunity to have a conversation with Aboriginal people " said Nicky Sloan, CEO of Community Industry Group "The Having a Yarn with Aboriginal Elders will give non -Aboriginal people the opportunity to sit with Aboriginal Elders, listen to their stories and ask questions in a safe and non - judgemental space. " Participants in this free event will also enjoy free morning tea and a light lu nch.
