It's that time of year again – our much-loved Dungog Shire Council Tree Giveaway is back to celebrate Local Government Week in conjunction with National Tree Day!
We've got 350 native tube stock trees ready to gift to residents across the shire. This is your chance to add some greenery to your patch – for free!
Trees will be available for collection from Tuesday 5 August.
You can grab you trees from:
- Clarence Town Post Office – 116 Prince St, Clarence Town | 9am – 5pm
- Dungog Shire Council Administration Building – 198 Dowling St, Dungog | 8.45am – 4.30pm
- Riverdene Nursery – 80 Allyn River Rd, East Gresford | 9am – 3pm Friday
But be quick – stocks are limited and trees will go fast!
Each household can claim up to three free native trees while stocks last.
And it's not just for households – community groups and schools are also invited to join in, with up to 25 bush tucker or native trees available through Riverdene Nursery.
Schools and Community Groups must organise a voucher by contacting Tracey Lowrey at Dungog Shire Council.
