Free activities are available for children and young people in Alice Springs and remote communities in Central Australia for the winter school holidays.
The activities are funded by the Albanese Labor Government's $3.2 million investment to support school holiday programs in Central Australia over two years.
From sport to music production workshops, the wide range of activities on offer provide young people the opportunity to connect with their peers while staying active and exploring new skills.
Free shuttle bus services will connect more young people and their families to activities across Alice Springs and remote communities.
Two additional community organisations have been funded to provide more activities these school holidays.
NPY Women's Council will deliver recreational activities for young people and families in Apatula, Imanpa, Kaltukatjara and Mutitjulu.
Her Story Consulting will offer a series of digital literacy workshops in Alice Springs.
Alongside the return of old favourites like bike riding sessions, family movies, bowling, AFL programs and bush trips, there will be special NAIDOC Week activities in line with this year's theme The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy.
The winter school holiday program builds on the success of previous holiday programs, including last summer, where there were 24,600 attendances across nearly 1,500 activities.
This investment is part of the Albanese Government's commitment to strengthening community safety under the $250 million A Better, Safer Future for Central Australia(link is external) .
