Shoalhaven City Council in partnership with Transport for NSW, will host two free learner driver workshops on Saturday 4 September and Saturday 11 September 2021.

Council has partnered with NSW Government to provide the workshops for parents, friends or relatives who will be supervising a new driver, to ensure they feel prepared to teach the next generation of road users.

Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley said the workshops will provide practical advice and support for learner driver teachers.

"These two-hour workshops are important in aiding learner driver teachers with support to ensure the experience is successful and positive for all involved.

"We often develop bad driving habits over the years, habits we don't want passed on to the next generation of road users.

"These workshops will equip teachers with simple tools to ensure they can provide their child, family member or friend with everything they need to know to drive safely on our roads." Clr Findley said.

Workshops will be held:

Date: Saturday 4 September and Saturday 11 September 2021

Where: Orchid Training Room – Nowra Administration Centre

Time: 9.30 -11.30am

The workshops are free to attend.

Those wishing to attend a session must secure a place by contacting Council's Road Safety Officer on (02) 4429 3484 to register. Please note registration is essential as numbers are limited. Covid-safe measures will be in place.
