Frequent furtive frauds in Footscray and Flemington

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the fraudulent use of a credit card in Footscray and Flemington on 18 September, Victoria Police say.

Investigators believe that a man stole a credit card from a vehicle in Donald Street, Footscray at about 7pm.

He then is believed to have used the stolen card 10 times throughout Footscray and Flemington in the following hour.

The man is perceived to be of South European appearance, 50-55 years old, 170cm tall with black hair and a black and grey goatee.

He was wearing a dark jacket, jeans and dark slip on shoes whilst carrying a toiletry bag.

Investigators have released images of the man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
