Ballarat Fire Brigade in conjunction with other local CFA brigades will be undertaken a controlled fuel reduction burn of bushland along Tinworth Avenue Mount Clear this Saturday 9 January 2021 (weather permitting).
The low-intensity burn will begin at 1pm and is scheduled to be completed by 6pm.
Operations will be along Tinworth Avenue between Cartledge Avenue and Highfield Avenue Mount Clear
During this time traffic control will be in place with some traffic delays while the burn is undertaken. This is for the safety of CFA crews and road users.
The burn is scheduled to reduce the risk within the area and to promote regrowth of native vegetation.
This burn will only go ahead if weather conditions are suitable.
The area to be burnt is marked in red on the map.
