Funding available for Community Service Organisations

Community Service Organisations (CSOs) that offer social support programs and essential services to vulnerable residents will be able to apply for Council's next round of funding grants opening soon.

The funding of up to $40,000 per year is for a three-year period during 2021 to 2024. The grants are targeted at Community Service Organisations that provide essential social support services, and programs to Casey community members most in need, particularly those in crisis or experiencing economic or social disadvantage.

Through this funding Council aims to support CSOs to respond to Casey's population growth, changing demographics and emerging community needs. In previous rounds, funded services included legal services, emergency relief services, community meals programs, crisis support, outreach for homelessness projects, counselling, employment support initiatives, women's mentoring activities, volunteer support, and programs to support CALD communities.

CSOs already delivering services for Casey residents, or those wishing to commence programs within Casey, should consider applying. The support is offered to programs and services that align with Council objectives and meet identified community needs.

Applications open on 22 March 2021 and close at 5.00 pm on Tuesday 27 April 2021. There will be a one-hour online information session on Tuesday 23 March 2021 at 2.00 pm.

CSOs considering an application should attend the info-session or phone the Grants team to discuss their application before applying.
