Further appeal for information after attempted armed robbery in Manifold Heights

Detectives from Western Region Crime Squad continue to appeal for information following an attempted armed robbery which occurred in Manifold Heights in February.

Investigators have been told a man entered a service station on Aberdeen Street about 4.20am on 18 February.

He approached the attendant, produced a handgun and demanded cash.

The attendant refused to comply and the man left the store empty handed and was last seen heading towards Aberdeen Street.

It is believed the man then drove off in a blue Ford Falcon sedan which was parked nearby.

Fortunately, the attendant was not physically injured.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian, aged in his mid-20s, clean shaven, medium build, average height, wearing a white Everlast hooded jumper, black pants, black shoes, dark sunglasses and a white surgical face mask.

Today investigators are releasing CCTV footage of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquires. They are also releasing footage of a car seen in the area around the time of the attempted armed robbery.

Police are re-releasing images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation along with images of a blue Ford Falcon sedan.
