Yarra Crime Investigation Unit detectives yesterday charged four men following a brawl in Richmond earlier this year.
Detectives executed five search warrants in Seaford, Hallam (x2), Cranbourne East and Clyde North.
Four men were arrested and later charged with violent disorder and affray.
Those charged include:
• A 24-year-old Hallam man;
• A 29-year-old Botanic Ridge man;
• A 29-year-old Cranbourne East man; and
• A 21-year-old Frankston man.
All were bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 4 June.
A 29-year-old Seaford man was arrested and released pending further enquiries.
The arrests follow an alleged brawl on Swan Street about 10.15pm on Saturday 22 February.
It is alleged a group of men became involved in a physical altercation after a sporting match and threw bar stools outside a licensed premises.
Police responded and arrested a 27-year-old Botanic Ridge man nearby.
The rest of the group fled the scene.
The following day police charged the man with violent disorder and affray.
He was bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 14 July.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
Further arrests are expected.
