Further charges have been laid against a woman, after two boys died and several children were injured when a car crashed into a school at Greenacre late last year.
Just before 9.45am on Tuesday (7 November 2017), emergency services were called to the school on Boronia Road, after a Toyota Kluger crashed into a classroom where children were being taught.
Two boys, aged eight, were critically injured. They were taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead where they died.
Three other children were seriously injured, NSW Police say.
Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command and the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit attended and established a crime scene.
The driver, a 52-year-old woman has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death - drive manner dangerous, and negligent driving (occasioning death).
On 8 November 2017, the driver was additionally charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and cause actual bodily harm by misconduct.
Today (Friday 29 June 2018), following investigations, the driver was additionally issued with a court attendance notice for two counts of manslaughter, negligent driving occasioning death and cause actual bodily harm by misconduct.
The woman is expected to appear at Burwood Local Court on 11 July 2018.
