Further easing of restrictions with Victoria due to hit 90% vax rate

The State Government has today announced that thanks to the hard work of Victorians, from 11.59pm tonight (18 November 2021) we will enter Phase D of the National Plan.

With Victoria due to hit its 90 per cent vaccination rate for people aged 12+ this weekend, almost all remaining restrictions will be removed for fully vaccinated people.

The changed restrictions will mean:

  • No limits on the number of people who can gather in your home or public places
  • Removal of capacity limits on cafes, restaurants and gyms
  • Non-essential retail will join the vaccinated economy
  • Masks are required in some high risk settings including retail, health care, aged care, primary schools, public transport and others
  • Changes to quarantine requirements for close contacts of positive cases.

If you haven't booked your vaccination appointment, you can find an appointment at a local GP, Pharmacist or Victorian COVID-19 vaccination centre.

Staying safe

Case numbers are still high, so please stay COVIDSafe.

This includes checking in wherever you go and providing proof of your vaccination status, washing hands regularly, sanitising and wearing a mask in required settings and where you can't socially distance.

If you have any COVID symptoms don't delay, get tested straight away. Find a testing centre near you: Where to get tested
