Although Futsal World Cup qualification is not rewarded for the winner of this year's edition, Futsalroo Tyler Garner said he's incredibly excited to be on the continent's biggest futsal stage.
"I'm ready to embrace everything that comes with this moment," Garner said.
"Competing here and representing our country is an honour, and we are looking forward to the challenge of going up against a powerhouse like Japan in our opening match."
Japan entered Group C as Australia's highest ranked opponents, with the Samurai Five sitting in 13th on the FIFA Futsal Men's World Rankings - their greatest all-time position.
