Federation Council is excited to announce that the Future Federation 2040 Community Strategic Plan (CSP) is now live. This pivotal document is a shared vision that reflects the collective aspirations and priorities of our entire Local Government Area. It will serve as our roadmap for the next 15 years, guiding the region's growth, sustainability, and development.
The CSP is built on the foundation of extensive community collaboration, representing the voices of residents from every corner of the Federation region who participated in shaping this vision. Through your feedback and engagement, we have identified the strengths that make our area special, the challenges we face, and the key priorities we must address to ensure a thriving future.
The Plan is centred around five pillars: Built Federation, Economic Federation, Natural Federation, Social Federation, and Well-Governed Federation. Each pillar sets out our collective aspirations for 2040 and provides the strategies for achieving them.
Federation Council Mayor, Cr Cheryl Cook, said the Plan's launch was a milestone for the community.
"This is a shared vision, and I want to thank every resident who contributed their voice to this process," Mayor Cook said.
"The Future Federation 2040 Plan is your roadmap, shaped by your feedback, and it sets a bold direction for what we want our region to be. It is incredibly exciting to see these community aspirations come to life in a plan that will guide our journey towards a brighter future."
General Manager Adrian Butler highlighted the plan's role in directing Council's work.
"This document will be the cornerstone of all our future planning and decision-making," Mr Butler said.
"Achieving this vision requires a united effort, not just from Council, but from all levels of government, local businesses, community groups, and individuals. By aligning our efforts and maintaining a shared commitment to these goals, we can create a future where everyone in the Federation region thrives. We look forward to working with all stakeholders to make this vision a reality - together."
