  • The Crisafulli Government is encouraging not-for-profit groups to apply for the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
  • Round 126 is now open, offering grants up to $35,000 to support community organisations.
  • The Gambling Community Benefit Fund delivers more than $60 million each year for local initiatives.

The Crisafulli Government has opened applications for the first round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund this year, with grants of up to $35,000 available to support community organisations across Queensland

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund is Queensland's largest one-off community grants program and supports not-for-profit groups to deliver a range of projects including:

  • Renovating community facilities
  • Running local events and training sessions
  • Installing solar systems and shade sails
  • Upgrading equipment and vehicles

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund delivers more than $60 million for community initiatives each year and continues to grow in popularity, with the recent $100,000 Super Round setting a record for the number of applications.

Attorney-General and Minister for Justice and Minister for Integrity Deb Frecklington said the strong support for the Gambling Community Benefit Fund showed the difference this program makes for local communities.

"Whether it's a small charity, a much-loved footy club, or a service in one of the most remote parts of our State, every dollar awarded from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund helps support the work these organisations do and the role they play in their local community," the Attorney-General said.

"No matter the size of the project or idea, I encourage all eligible not-for-profit groups to consider applying for a grant in Round 126 - because how good would it be to start off the year with a $35,000 boost for your local community initiative?"

"I've seen the impact this funding can have when I've visited some of the successful recipients from previous rounds, from the Far North to the South East, and I'm looking forward to sharing more of those grassroot community stories in 2026."

Regina Lequerica from Burdekin Bocce Club Inc – a recipient in the recent GCBF $100,000 Super Round 124 – said the grant was a special blessing for their club.

"The funding will help with renovations that have become too difficult for our Club to handle, as the roof was in great disrepair," Ms Lequerica said.

"This was such exciting news that has taken a little while to sink in. We are so grateful that our club has been honoured to have a share of the funding."

Sue Smith from Maaroom Progress and Ratepayers Association – a recipient in GCBF Round 123 – said the funding they received allows the club to purchase a new mower after 20 years.

"We are now able to significantly improve our ability to protect our facilities from flying embers in the event of a bushfire," Ms Smith said.

"This support makes a meaningful difference to our small community, helping us to preserve a safe and welcoming space."

Applications are now open and will close at midnight on 28 February 2026. Successful applicants will be announced in July.
