Garage Sale Trail returns for three big weeks

Australia's largest sustainability and community festival, the Garage Sale Trail is back this November, remodelled for COVID-19, and bigger than ever.

The popular event will this year offer Brimbank residents two weekends of virtual shopping and selling. And a week before the virtual buying and selling begins, you can join one of the online tutorials on 6-7 November.

This annual event encourages residents to make and save money by selling and buying pre-loved items, reducing waste and reusing items in the process.

There's also lots of resources online and tutorials to help anyone with questions they may have about online selling and shopping. This year's bumper event will run over the two weekends of 13-14 and 20-21 November.

Brimbank residents can register to be part of the event at no change right now.

Quotes to be attributed to Brimbank Mayor Cr Ranka Rasic:

"Virtual garage sales are perfect for those missing their second-hand shopping fix or looking for a way to bring home some extra cash from all the things they've set aside for reselling over lockdown.

"The Garage Sale Trail team make it easy with tips, tricks and free promotional materials, and secure, online payments made possible by PayPal."
