A big Christmas edition of the Geelong City Market will celebrate small business this Saturday.
The final market of the 2025 season will serve up a feast of festive flavours just in time for Christmas, before returning on 3 January.
This is a one-stop, feel-good opportunity to stock up on produce and presents while supporting local for the big day.
Big red bows will line the trees of Little Malop Street Central and live music will lift the spirit levels.
Free demonstration masterclasses will add to the cheer, with a merry mix of gingerbread decorating and cocktail making on the program.
Market co-organiser Simon Toohey
This final market of the year is all about bringing people together and celebrating the incredible small businesses and stallholders who've supported the market. We're really grateful to the community for showing up week after week, and this Christmas edition feels like a joyful way to say thank you and cap off a great start.
Since the Geelong City Market launched on 25 October, about 8,000 people have visited the precinct each Saturday.
Mayor Stretch Kontelj OAM
The market enriches our city by supporting local business, inviting people to try something new and reimagining how we use our public spaces. When creative thinking and community comes together like this, everyone wins. We're looking forward to welcoming people back to the market bigger and brighter in the new year.
The Geelong City Market is on from 9am to 2pm at Little Malop Street Central this Saturday 20 December.
